Now in the shadow of Don Valley Stadium, the White hart still looks like a pub despite having been closed for around 20 years.
This old Stone's house was built in 1825, and was one of many at this end of Worksop Road. For a while it belonged to Hull Breweries who renamed it Hartys. This did not help the pub survive in an area that was in rapid decline, and the pub shut.
Ironically with the stadium and other efforts at regenerating the area, the White Hart's time might once more come around.
