RSVP. Cambridge Street.

RSVP stands on the corner occupied by the Albert Inn for around 200 years. In those days Cambridge Street was known as Coal Pit Lane, for very obvious reasons. Unfortunately the drift mine ran directly under the Albert, and after fighting subsidence for years the pub was demolished.

The new venture was opened in 1999, and is aimed at the youth market. Time will tell if it mellows with age.
