This was a gem of a pub just off Broad Lane. It was also easy to miss which probably led to its closure.
For years it survived on lunchtime trade, serving its Ward's Best Bitter to custommers from the nearby bank and tool works. Sadly this could not sustain the business and it closed in 1999.
