Peacock. Stannington Road
The Peacock at Knowle Top obtained a beer licence
early in the 19th century. It is however older than this as it was previously a
farmhouse. The pub also doubled up as the village smithy in its early
years.
It has now been extended and is part of Tom
Cobleigh's chain of pubs.
