The New Inn is an old Stones pub that received an elegant glazed frontage in 1912, although its origins undoubtably go back much further.
Despite having been closed for more than 20 years, and having survived several demolition orders, the New Inn is in beautiful condition, and deserves preservation. This surely can't be too much to ask if parts of Park Hill Flats have received listed status.
Once a busy pub in a crowded industrial and residential area, much of its surroundings have disappeared, although the building is used as offices for a local business.
