The Nailmaker's holds the longest running licence in Sheffield, if not South Yorkshire. It has sold beer since 1627, and may have been a blacksmith's before that. As with virtually all beer houses more that 200 years old, the Nailmaker's brewed its own beer, although the brewery has long since disappeared.
