The Moorfoot Tavern is a relatively new pub close to the main shopping centre. The area was redeveloped around 25 years ago and the old Cumberland Hotel was knocked down.
The Moorfoot Tavern has changed names several times in its short life. It has been know as the Whetstone as well as the Cumberland.
