Locarno. London Road

Looking somewhat like a cross between a Flash Gordon Rocket and Brighton Pavillion, the Locarno is a Jack of all Trades.

It started in the 1920s as a cinema, and was damaged by the same bomb that destroyed the Hermitage. Damage was not severe, but led to the closure of the cinema. It was not severe enough for it to be comandeered as a Marks and Spencer temporary store. It has since been used as a pub and various night club venues.

The current black paint is nowhere near as attractive as its " Brighton Rock" white.
