It is sad to relate that 100 years ago Sheffield had 30 major breweries. Now Kelham Island is the city's largest.
Brewing commenced in 1990 in an outbuilding at the Fat Cat pub. As demand for the beers increased the company moved into a new purpose built brewery a few yards away.
