The Greyhound became a pub in 1796. At the time it was the last building before leaving Sheffield, and in its early days it housed Sheffield's constable
It was very badly effected by the Sheffield Flood, resulting in large loss of life.
The greyhound mural above the door is particularly fine and still in excellent condition despite the pub being closed for many years.
