The Grapes dates from 1825 and is a fine example of a Rwsons house. Some of the etched windows still bear the Rawson's crest.
After the Brewery was blown up the Grapes fell into the hands of Gilmour's and eventually Tetley.
Like the nearby Dog & Partridge, it is a haven for music nights, but without quite the same Irish influences.
