The Engineers Arms was an old Thomas Berry pub. Berry's was taken over by Tennant Brothers in 1924, and finally the became a lost asset of Whitbread's empire.

The Engineers changed its name to the Dallas Bar around 20 years ago and is now boarded up and closed. Recent fire damage probably mean that its days are numbered.
