The Crown and Glove Started life as a row of cottages one of which was converted to a beer house known as the Tontine. The name changed to Crown & Glove in 1842.
Early in the 1920s the landlord set up a char-a-banc business running bus tours around Bradfield dams, as well as bringing customers to and from Malin Bridge.
It is now a popular village local, where customers indulge in traditional pub games, as well as cricket matches on the pitch opposite.
