The Britannia Inn was situated next to The Saw Makers on Harvest Lane. The walls still bear the ledgend Britannia Inn. Old Albion Brewery. Ales & Stouts. Bottled Beers. This is starting to become vey faint, which is a pity because I know of no other surviving buildings that make reference to Old Albion Brewery.
The Brewery traded as Old Albion between 1889 until it closed during the Second World War. Its 52 pubs were takenover by Worksop & Retford Breweries. It is likely that The Britannia closed around this time.
