Barrow Boys. Shude Hill

A pub with no windows might not be everyones cup of tea, but the Barrow Boys was a real pub. The enterance is in a tunnel near Castle Market, and this led to a large bar and a games room. It also offered good lunchtime meals.

Opened in the 80s and lasting only a few years, it would have been a good pub to drink in during an air raid.
