Banner Cross. 967 Eccleshall Road

The Banner Cross is a large, comfortable two roomed Tetley house. It is famous for the fact that in 1876 the notorious Carlie Peace shot dead a man named Dyson in the passageway alongside the pub. Peace was later hanged, the Baner Cross is still going strong.
