The Bagshawe Arms is one of the oldest pub buildings in Sheffield. It was originally a farmhouse that belonged to the Bagshawe family from the nearby Oakes. The building was enlarged during the 1820s, and doubled up as a court house. The petty sessions were held in the pub every second Wednesday.
