Rose & Crown. Bankfield Lane

The Rose & Crown started life as a private dwelling, obtaining a beer licence sometime in the 19th centuary. It became a Tomlinson's house around the time of the First World War, and when that brewery was bombed title passed to Hope & Anchor Brewery and later to Bass Charington.

It is still known as Minnie's after a popular long passed landlady.
